Have you picked up a Chinook Book yet?
The Chinook Book is full of coupons and information, and quickly pays for itself. There are tickets for free rides on Metro and Amtrak, and tons of coupons for groceries, coffee, museum visits and more. When you buy one and use the coupons, you help support green and local businesses.

I like that idea about trading coupons! We are selling Chinook Books for our school to raise needed funds. Although our school voted to be a “non-selling” school–no more gift wrap and magazines!–I am a self-employed single mom who’s business tanked last December with the economy–since we don’t qualify for unemployment, I can’t really “pledge” money to my kid’s school. So before you buy the Chinook Book from For Profit places consider buying it from me and helping a Ballard school. We get $10 a book from the $20 you spend. I make house calls! ryewoman@hotmail.com
