If you don't have time to volunteer you might consider donating, in fact Safeway makes it very easy to donate a ham. I did so just last week, at the checkout you can add $8.99 to your total and it purchases a ham to be given away from the food bank. It was very simple, I am lucky enough that I will not miss the nine dollars and I like knowing that it is helping someone who needs it. It gave me a very warm and good feeling inside. I can't say that very much could compare to the experience. If everyone who reads this takes just a few items to the food bank, not only will many more families have food on the table, but each person who gives will get a great feeling inside.
